Week In Review 2019-02-24

This week felt more normal. There was work and play and I think I did fairly well on hitting my targeted behaviors, actions, etc but not perfect. Here, I will inventory the week (Sun - Sat) and see how I’m doing.

Week in three words

Recovery, Plan, Hope

Inventory

I keep track of several points of my GHDR and general life-stasis in my Journal.

  • Health
    • Meditate - every day!
    • Intentional walks - 4 of 7 days
    • Run/Swim/Gym - None :frowning:
    • Kickboxing - 2 of 3 :cold_sweat:
    • Happy Food - every day!
  • Connections
    • Friends - None.
    • Family - Mario Party game time & a big trip snow tubing all Saturday
  • Money
    • Tracked my spending - I spent $887.56 this week - the majority of which was - *$440 bulk meats and $191.05 other groceries
  • Curiosity
    • Bass - 0 practice. duh duh duh :no_good:
    • German practice - every day!
    • Drawing and Coloring - just my menu on Sunday, but it was a fun one

Things I did but not on my tracker!

Mostly, I just plowed through the week in pursuit of normalcy after last week.

I read a couple of books. The autobiography of Benjamin Franklin has me considering adding moral ideals to my tracker, but I’m not sure. Stardust by Neil Gaimon and rereading Eragon on the snow tubing trip bus ride both have me wanting to get back to the story that I started a few years ago.

We went snow tubing at Snoqualmie. It was fun and snowy and a good day. I was not super impressed with our schedule or the way that lunch went, but I’m glad we did not have to drive and everything worked out.

Things I did not do that I planned to do or wanted to do

Sometimes, things don’t happen quite right.

  • Bass practice
  • More gym time/running/walking
  • More business development

Thoughts and feelings

This year, I’m focused on Health, Connections, Money, and Curiosity.

I am definitely doing better compared to my barely functional last week. However, I still did not spend time on somethings that really do bring me joy when I do them. I don’t understand why I have not yet prioritized my bass practice this month, but I have not touched it once. Family engagement is getting more regular and good. We play more games and spend more positive time together and in small groups.

I’m hopeful that this week is what a recovery week looks like because things were generally smooth but not awesome.
