2019 GHDR Review 7

This is my seventh official checkin for my 2019 GHDR as I am following Dave Seah’s masterful plan.

Reminder of my 2019 Goals

My resolutions for the year broadly fall into four categories: [H]Health, [F]Friends and family, [M]Money, and [C]Curiosity.

  • I resolve to care about my Health and show it in my actions
  • I resolve to strengthen connections with Friends and Family
  • I resolve to maintain control of my Money
  • I resolve to empower my Curious and Creative side.

Let’s evaluate

  • [H]ealth: I’m kickboxing and running and generally being pretty fit. I can feel my body getting stronger. Maybe the iron is finally getting into my system letting my blood attempt to grow into the right kind of cells. I am not eating the best. I have been trying a low-carb thing but it is making me exhausted.
  • [F]riends and family: Kiddos are just starting school and sports, and our schedules are a complete mess. I just do not even feel like I will have a handle on it ever. I will…I just don’t feel like I will right now. I am doing some friend activities, but I miss my book club group. I wonder if I will ever see them again. All that being said, I do not think that I’m meeting my intentions for engaging with friends and family. I’m more like a chicken with no head running around the yard scaring everyone.
  • [M]Money: I did not track much of anything this month. Money like water.
  • [C]Curiosity: The drawing is going well. I’m a little bummed that I had to move to my tiny notebook because I am waiting for Scribbles That Matter to come out with new planners, but I know this will not last long. I don’t feel like I have enough room to draw and write in the book I am using now.

Insights

I’m floundering a bit and need a reset. I am not sure what it is that is off, but something is definitely not right.

Looking forward

Things have to get better. They do, right?
